August is a great month for sleeping under the 'sheltering sky'. Lots of falling stars, especially on and around the 13th. Once I was woken up by a large dog licking my face. My heart skipped some half a dozen beats and I was ready to shit my pants. But even in a moment like that my vanity took over and I knew if I don't scream I might get through this without losing an eye or unsightly dog bite marks on my face. And so I did....
